Happy dog ….. tail wagging, goofy smile, paws on the ground, big doe eyes and of course tongue halfway to the floor. This image conjures up the typical happy dog. Whether it is the color contrast of a pink tongue against a black dog or just the iconic imagery, photos with the tongue showing are just more expressive.
The best way to get the dogs tongue out naturally (not that we would do it any other way) is to play hard with them for a few minutes. Then their natural heat regulator, aka tongue, will come out, they are wound down just a bit and ready for their close up!
This is Reed – he is a hard playing, fun-loving guy!
He is available now at the Roanoke Valley SPCA. Reed was adopted on June 12, 2011 to a very lucky family. Good things come to those who wait Mr Reed.
